Following the Lord in Capetown - Day 4

Today is a day off and we are going on a prayer hike up to "Lion's Head" in preparation for tomorrow.

First a bit of history. The Global Day of Prayer was birthed in the heart of a man named Graham Powers when he was a 'nominal Christian' only 11 years ago. He was given vision from the Lord that Africa would be a light to the world, even though it was known as a place of great spritual darkness. In 2006, the Lord showed him three waves of God's Spirit to cover the earth. The first one he called a wave of grace given to pray based on:

2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

The second wave will be a wave of purification by fire. [The second wave can only come by fire]

The third one he calls a tsuanmi of revival.

Graham talked about it coming from the south of Africa going up to the north, and then spreading out to the world.

There is now anticipation that tomorrow (Sunday) will be the start of the second wave of the fire of the Lord to sweep the earth.

Tomorrow is the 10th Global Day of Prayer where people from all the countries in the world will say a prayer for the world together. As of yesterday, the last country was ushered in so now all 220 countries are represented.

It begins at 11:00 am Capetown time, which will be 1:00 am Sunday morning on the West Coast of Canada. It will be held in a large stadium here with a few thousand people from 100 or more countries. Please join us in praying and/or fasting for this particular time in history. If you would like to pray this prayer yourself or gather a small group together, here is the prayer:

Also, if you like hiking or being in the outdoors, it is also recommended to pray this prayer in high places over towns and cities.

If you would like more information on GDOP, you can visit the website here:

Also, on the first night we mentioned that they closed the evening with child intercessors praying over everyone. Here is the story of how this ministry came into being. There is much for us North America to learn about God's ways.

It is about 10 minutes long, but well worth every second of your time.

Thank you for standing with us and joining in the big picture. We feel your prayers.

Blessings,
Karen and Cathy
