Keats Island International Prayer Centre Reflections

Wow, its been an epic few weeks..and just getting a breather now. After the Ring of Fire Prayer Tour back in October of 2009 (see postings below) we prayed to the Lord, "What's next?"

Well the Lord was already working on the next step using a trip to the National House of Prayer last March to spark a whole sequence of events and contacts to make the Keats Island International Prayer Centre a reality.

The Prayer Centre opened on February 18-28, with each day bringing awesome people and an amazing time of prayer and worship. I've included pictures of the before and after shots. We started with an empty space, cleaned it and filled it with special treasures to make it a sacred space. We had brought many things we had used for the Ring of Fire Prayer tour as well as from our church office. The Lord impressed upon us that we would have everything we needed....and we did from couches, to carpets, to glow in the dark sticks....that's another story.

The entire time during the Olympics we experienced a rhythm of prayer together with specific prayer watches at various times. We had some prayer walks around the grounds and some time for quiet reflection. Here are some pics of the location

Although the 2010 Winter Olympics was the focal point for the gathering, the Lord took us many places with Him as we prayed for one another, for the ministry of Keats Camps, for Gibsons, for Vancouver, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, and even for the nations. There was a very special time that the Lord set aside for us to pray into the nation of Russia. One of our intercessors had Russian heritage and she even prayed the Lords Prayer in Russian! It was beautiful.. here it is!

The Lord’s Prayer

Russian Version:
Отче наш, сущий на небесах!
Да святится имя Твоё;
Да придёт Царство Твоё;
Да будет воля Твоя
И на земле, как на небе;
Хлеб на насущный
Дай нам на сей день;
И прости нам долги наши,
как и мы прощаем
должникам нашим;
И не введи нас в искушение,
Но избавь нас от лукавого.
Ибо Твоё есть Царство
И сила и слава во веки.
Аминь.

Translation:
Our Father, who is sitting in the heavens!
Yes Your name it is holy;
Yes Your kingdom will come;
Yes Your will it will be
And on Earth as in Heaven;
Our daily bread
give it to us this day.
Forgive us our debts,
as we will forgive our debtors;
And do not lead us into temptations,
but save us from cunning.
For Yours is the Kingdom
and the power and the glory for all time.
Amen.

Some other highlights were:
An awesome visit from some young people from the Gibsons Christian School, some testimonies of the Lord touching people at various times as they were here- partularly in the Prayer Tent (tent of meeting), the Lord speaking to people very directly as they were walking the land and praying..and participating with the Lord through various prophetic acts that we were called to do on behalf of the land and the people.

We are so thankful to the Lord for bringing Richard and Terry Long from The National House of Prayer in Ottawa for this prayer assignment. We also want to thank our dear younger sister in the Lord, Daria Tomiak, of 24-7 Prayer Canada, who believed in us and supported us during our Prayer Tour. We invite you to join us in inquiring of the Lord for the next step in this journey of prayer. Our heart is to establish a house of prayer/worship/community - a place of dwelling for the Lord. And we know that He is able to build His house, and the gates of hell cannot prevail. So stay tuned, the best is yet to come!!
