Ring of Fire 24-7 Prayer Tour - Powell River Pt1

We arrived in Powell River at noon yesterday and drove to Kelly Creek Community Church, where we were warmly greeted by our friends, Dietmar, Patricia and daughter Tracey! (picture coming soon)

It was a hard day yesterday. Lots of frustrations, annoyances particularly with media: camera not working, frozen mp3, uncooperative computer - lots of opportunites for the flesh to rise up. But its ok now, we had our coffee this morning

We were given the scripture Isaiah 45 yesterday to pray into - especially verse 3 - about God giving us the treasures of darkness, and the riches stored in secret places (or in the Message it says 'I'll lead you to buried treasures, secret caches of valuables') so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. Exodus 19:5a Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession..

We are God's treasure, and He wants us to be treasure hunters of one another - to call out the best in each other. God wants to affect deep change in us. He has set inside you a treasure of tremendous brilliance for His pleasure, and also for the building up of his Body. And like Gideon, he will not listen to our negative self-talk. He will speak and relate to us as He has called and made us to be: "Mighty Warrior" as He said to Gideon.

This brings us to our next prayer focus. God led us to Nehemiah 11:2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

There is an honoring of godly men in leadership here in this passage that is very public. This is something that we prayed into at dawn today using this wonderful crafted prayer online:
