Prayer: Lord you are the one that searches minds and hearts and tests every man's motive. We know that what you want from us is truth in the innermost part, and a hunger and thirst for righteousness and holiness. We invite you, Holy Spirit, to be our searchlight, to probe every area of our hearts and minds to see if there be any crooked or perverse way in us, and deliver us,and lead us in the paths of righteousness, justice and truth. Lord, we admit that we cannot do this without your help so we ask you, Holy Spirit, to breathe your holiness into us and create in us a clean heart. Renew in us a right spirit, a willing spirit. Burn us up with your holy fire from your altar,and cleanse us. Teach us the fear of the Lord, in a way that makes us tremble at your words.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,

the world, and all who live in it;

Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
