"So we say to our souls, “Be still and know God” Embrace the times - behold God and His ways. Learn from Him, from His word, from His Spirit, His people, His creation - we are instructed to know the times and seasons."
Quoting from our last post we know it's not enough just to believe and be present in this season. We must also be busy doing--but doing what?
Philippians 2:12b in the Amplified says
"work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ)."
"work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ)."
So, we came up with a list of "doing" words that describe our obedience to the Lord in this season. You will notice that none of these words pertain to our "flesh" but rather to our spirits.

With our identity firmly in the person of Christ, we can be in this place of waiting, without the compulsion to perform or make something happen. We can rest and be content, knowing that as we obey, the Lord will "perfect that which concerns us". (Psalm 138:8a)
So we GIVE THANKS, we TRUST and then we--
- press into the call to discern and be wise
- minister to the Lord and each other (wherever 2 or more are gathered)
- embrace the time and learn
Yeshua answered and said to them:
“This is the service of God, that you trust in him whom he has sent.” John 6:29
Lord, we trust You and the work You are doing! You are the author and perfector of our faith. So, have your way - You are the potter, we are the clay. Amen.
Yes, the Lord is faithful dear friends!

Thanks Cathy and Karen, that's an encouraging word. I like your list of what we should be "doing." It reminded me of what I heard awhile back. God created us to be human "beings", not human "doings." (Attending to works and not attitude of the heart). It sure takes the pressure off to pursuing works to, instead, pursuing HIM.
