Adventures in Australia - Back Home to Beechworth

July 13th  - 15th

Jacky drove a different route back to Beechworth, taking time to stop and enjoy the countryside.

Here are some signs we saw that made us chuckle:

A few delightful stops along the way:

Corop

Shepparton

Winton Wetlands

Back at Bethany in Beechworth...

We found our coffee niche!

You must try the Ned Kelly meat pies! :)

Right at home!

For those who miss seeing our faces....

  1. Ned Kelly
    Bushranger
  2. Edward "Ned" Kelly was an Irish Australian bushranger. Kelly's legacy is controversial; some consider him to be a murderous villain, while others view him as a folk hero and Australia's equivalent of Robin Hood.
  3. Quote:...to give those people who are suffering innocence, justice and liberty. if not I will be compelled to show some colonial stratagems which will open the eyes of not only the Victoria Police and inhabitants but also the whole British Army...(Jerilderie Letter, p. 19)

Ned Head

Oops, time to get back home...

Walkabout at dusk just before dinner- looking for Koalas

Found a mountain and climbed it!

We'll be leaving on the first train to Melbourne tomorrow morning.
So Beechworth, until we see you again....
