The River of God - Dutch Sheets

"We cannot clone revival,
church growth or any other
form of ministry. Revival is not
produced, it is born. The river is not
just
about God, it flows from Him.
Lives and ministries can be planned
from a 'boardroom mentality' or in
the 'prayer room'.
The first
produces
the works of man,
the second births a move of
God."

Hi Cathy,

I Googled and found this Dutch Sheets quote on your blog. What is the source? I would like to use it this Sunday in my message!

Thanks,

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for responding! I didn't realize that you had to visit my site -- please know that wasn't my intention. I not that shameless...!

As I write, my secretary is ordering the book for me. The title of this weekend's message is, "The River of God." Amazing, huh?

I so much appreciated your synopsis of Sheets' work...whose points you shared I'm in complete agreement with.

The farthest north I've been in BC is Grouse Mountain and on the ferry over to Victoria. But I know it's beautiful up there. While growing up in the Seattle area we used to go to the PNE every year...and then to the World's Fair...and then on grad trips for our HS seniors while I was a youth pastor.

Thanks again for your kind response!

Blessings,

Mike Johnson
